Own Domain
Starting with the Business plan, you can use your own domain with your services. This means you don’t have to stick with [placeholder].srv.camp. To do this, you’ll need to register a domain with a registrar (for example, Netcup), which usually costs only a few euros per year, and then update your domain’s DNS records accordingly. If you want your service to be reachable at [placeholder].example.com, your DNS record should look like this:
| Name / Host | Type | Value |
|---|---|---|
[placeholder] |
CNAME |
gw01-customer.server.camp |
The square brackets only indicate a placeholder and should not be entered in your registrar’s form. Any additional fields (such as TTL or MX) can usually be left empty or set to their default values.
Please note that DNS changes can take up to 24 hours to propagate across the internet. During this time, you may see certificate warnings when accessing your service. Unfortunately, this is expected and cannot be avoided.
